Spam Accounts

There are, as with any forum, massive numbers of spam accounts created with Geckos United each month. Every now and then I go in and delete them all to prevent the forum getting clogged up with fake accounts, and I will freely admit I may occasionally make a mistake. Please read the following to prevent your account being inadvertently confused as a spam account.

I delete accounts with the following:

1. No posts after a few months of registering
2. Nonsensical or random character account names
3. Adverts in the signature
4. Website address which contains a .ru link
5. accounts which were never activated

Typically your account, if legitimate, will never have enough of these features to warrant deletion so there's no need to worry. As only accounts with 0 posts are pruned then there should never be an issue. Simply re-register and post in the introduce yourself forum, and use an account name that contains real words!!
